・作品の分割販売、小口化、株式化、NFT化、AI学習利用などはできません。
・著作権は作家および制作会社（GOLD WOOD ART WORKS）に帰属します。個人的・非商用の撮影は可能ですが、高解像度撮影や3Dスキャンは禁止です。

公表や複製について：
・商用利用や出版・配信などを行う場合は、事前許可が必要です。
作品が映り込む場合でも、可能な限り事前または事後にご連絡ください。

作品の取り扱い：
・繊細な素材や形状のため、保管や展示時には温度・湿度・日光に十分ご注意ください。
・設営・撤収は指定方法をお守りください。破損が発生した場合はお客様のご負担となります。

転売禁止期間：
・購入から3年間は転売やオークション出品は禁止です。
・やむを得ず譲渡する場合は、必ず事前にご相談ください。

●プロフィール
サトウリホミ　Sato Rihomi
東京都生まれ。2015年に渡米後、抽象画とミクストメディアを学び、現在もニューヨークを拠点に活動。絵画、ドローイング、コラージュ、スティッチングに加え、布や写真などの素材を用いた独自のミクストメディア表現を追求している。近年の展示に、23年個展「Friday Night Humanism」（Hiro Okamoto Gallery、東京）、24年個展「Senses of Bonds」（FOAM CONTEMPORARY、東京）、「EVERY WOMEN BIENNIAL」（NY）など。

●本展出品作品について
今回の作品は絵画の構造の再構築を試み、かつ「身体」「構造」「境界」について考えながら制作しました。
社会の中で私たちの身体は、見た目によって評価され、分類され、ときに拒絶されます。その多くの差別やヘイト、暴力はとても表面的で中身を知ろうとしないことから生まれています。
肌の色や顔の造形、文化が違うだけで、わたしたち人間は同じような身体や同じような臓器、“人間”という構造を持っています。そんなに違いはないはずなのにどうしてここまで大きな違いを感じるのか、違いを無理やり作り出そうとするのだろうか。アイデンティティとは何か。違いとは何か。なぜその存在が境界や断絶を生み出すのだろうか。
移民として、アジア人として、日本人として、女性として、アメリカで生活するなかでの自身の経験からそんな疑問が湧き上がりました。
とても感覚的ですが、既成概念や固定観念からの解放、そして普段目に見えない身体を構成するものの感覚を意識し、コットンやリネン、木、釘を用い、フォーマットを壊し、断片的なイメージを切り貼り重ね、組み立てることで偏見やルッキズムから解放された身体のかたちを模索することにしました。
身体を描くより身体で絵を組み立てる感覚。
感情の変化に合わせて内臓や血液が動く感覚、感情が全身に巡る感覚。
空気を吸って、食べ物を取り込み、熱を持ち、必死に生きようとする身体。
木枠は骨、布は皮膚のように機能し、それは時には美しく整ったものではなく、傷や歪みを抱えながらも生きていく、それぞれの人間たちの感覚やモーメントになります。

Artwork and Payment:
This agreement sets forth the official terms of the sale.

Ownership of the artwork will transfer to you after full payment has been completed and, within 7 days following delivery from Kohtoh Gallery, you have confirmed inspection of the work.

Ownership and Usage Restrictions:
The artwork may not be divided, fractionalized, securitized, converted into NFTs, used for AI training, or otherwise commercialized in such forms.

Copyright remains with the artist and the production company (GOLD WOOD ART WORKS).

Personal, non-commercial photography is permitted, but high-resolution photography and 3D scanning are prohibited.

Publication and Reproduction:
Any commercial use, publication, or distribution requires prior written permission.

Even if the artwork appears incidentally in images or videos, please make every effort to inform us in advance or afterwards.

Handling of the Artwork:
Due to its delicate materials and structure, please take care to control temperature, humidity, and exposure to sunlight during storage and display.

Installation and removal must follow the specified methods. Any damage will be the buyer’s responsibility.

Resale Restrictions:
Resale or auction listing is prohibited for 3 years from the date of purchase.

In the event you wish to transfer ownership for unavoidable reasons, please consult us in advance.

Other:
You are obliged to maintain confidentiality regarding the contract terms and negotiation process.

You confirm that you are not, and will not be, associated with any antisocial forces.

Profile:
Sato Rihomi
Born in Tokyo, Japan. After moving to the U.S. in 2015, Sato studied abstract painting and mixed media, and continues to be based in New York. Her practice spans painting, drawing, collage, and stitching, incorporating textiles, photographs, and other materials to develop a unique mixed-media expression.
Recent exhibitions include the solo shows “Friday Night Humanism” (Hiro Okamoto Gallery, Tokyo, 2023), “Senses of Bonds” (FOAM CONTEMPORARY, Tokyo, 2024), and participation in the EVERY WOMAN BIENNIAL (New York).

Work in This Exhibition:
These works attempt to reconstruct the structure of painting while exploring themes of “body,” “structure,” and “boundaries.”
In society, our bodies are often judged, categorized, and sometimes rejected based on appearance. Many forms of discrimination, hate, and violence stem from superficial assessments and an unwillingness to see what lies beneath.
Despite differences in skin color, facial features, and culture, we humans all share similar bodies and internal structures. So why do such large divides exist? Why are differences so amplified? What defines identity? What defines difference? And why do these differences create separation or exclusion?
These questions emerged from Sato’s lived experience as an immigrant, as an Asian, as a Japanese person, and as a woman in America.
Working with cotton, linen, wood, and nails, Sato consciously breaks traditional formats and assembles fragmented images to explore bodily forms liberated from bias and aesthetic norms. Rather than painting the body, she composes the work with the body.
The visceral feeling of emotions moving through internal organs and blood, of breathing air, consuming food, generating warmth—the body as it struggles to live.
Wooden stretchers function like bones; fabric like skin. These works, imperfect and scarred, embody the sensations and fleeting moments of diverse human lives.
